Step 1: Your Consultation

Your first step towards your new smile is visiting our Denver area orthodontic office for a complimentary consultation. A team member will take digital x-rays and photos and Dr. Cronin or Dr. Czarnik will perform a thorough exam. The orthodontist will chat with you about your smile concerns, goals for treatments and answer any questions you have.

Dr. Cronin and Dr. Czarnik will use their findings and your diagnostic records to develop an accurate diagnosis and fill you in on their treatment recommendations. This will ensure you have all of the information you need to make a decision about moving forward with braces treatment.

Step 2: Getting Your Braces Put On

This is a big day! Dr. Cronin or Dr. Czarnik will place your braces brackets onto your teeth using a special adhesive. They’ll then fit you for your braces wires and run the wires through your brackets. Getting braces put on takes about an hour, is completely painless and there are no needles involved.

Step 3: Check-Ups

You’ll come in for check-ups about every six to eight weeks throughout your braces treatment. At these visits, Dr. Cronin and Dr. Czarnik will keep tabs on your progress, make adjustments as needed and answer questions.

Step 4: Getting Your Braces Removed

Woohoo! At this point, you’ll have a fantastic new smile. Getting your braces taken off is just as painless as getting them put on. Your Westminster orthodontist will use special tools to gently take your wires out and remove your brackets. Then, they’ll let you check out your smile in the mirror.

Step 5: Retention

When you finish your braces treatment, there’s one last step and that’s wearing a retainer. We’ll make a custom retainer just for you and give you instructions for wearing it to ensure you maintain your smile for life.
